About Block319

Block319 is the blockchain and cryptocurrency industry's premier source of institutionally-focused news and research.

Created as a response to the distinct lack of platforms dedicated to the blockchain news that really matters, Block319's deep ties and connections to the world's leading institutions in both blockchain and traditional finance allow it to bring you exactly that.

The number '319' in our name is derived from the Bitcoin genesis block, which was mined on January 3rd, 2009.

Ben Antes

Ben boasts more than a decade of experience in blockchain technology. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and is a serial entrepreneur within the blockchain industry.

He was one of the earliest Ethereum miners (before its transition to proof-of-stake) and founded and operated a high frequency trading firm within the decentralized finance sector. Brian also founded and grew one of the crypto industry's most successful retail-facing media companies, BSCN.

Ben is also the CEO and founder of one of blockchain's fastest-growing RWA platforms, ASX. ASX specializes in the tokenization of premium US real estate properties and, to date, has sold out all of its collections of yield-bearing NFTs - its flagship product.

James Wooley

James fell in love with the blockchain sector during his time as an undergraduate, studying Journalism.

After graduating, James took his blockchain passion full-time working with countless leading platforms and projects, helping to create marketing and communications strategies.

James has written extensively on practically all areas of the blockchain sector, from NFTs and memecoins, through to regulation and investment.

James believes that the future growth of the blockchain industry lies in its adoption by leading institutions, hence his decision to begin writing for Block319.

Jonny Huang

As of 2025, Jonny holds six years of full-time experience in blockchain research. He studied Philosophy at Cambridge University's Homerton College, before joining Coin Bureau, the industry's leading YouTube platform, where he specialized in channel management and Web3 research.

Thereafter, Jonny spent several years working in venture capital, leading on analysis of early-stage dealflow and working with various funds and family offices.

Prior to founding Block319, Jonny managed all content operations for BSCN - a leading social media-based crypto news outlet.

He has also sat on the committee for Cambridge University Blockchain Society and places high value on the crypto clubs and organizations at the world's leading universities.
